It all begins with an idea.
This videography project was completed by me from start to finish. Simpson University asked me to complete a series of short videos, comprised of interviews, b-roll, and still shots, to be shown at the Veterans Success Center Fundraising Gala.
Senator Maurice Johannessen and his wife, Marianne, are being honored by having the new Simpson University Business, Technology, and Engineering building (also home to the Veterans Success Center) named after them.

design project
This project took place over the course of 8 weeks and consisted of selecting an under-represented brand, identifying the target audience, writing a creative briefing, and finally, designing collateral.
I chose the company E4 Ropes, a small rope company based in Texas.
Below, you will see the creative process from start to finish, including thumbnail sketches, rough sketches, and a composition creative.
To the right, you see the final poster. I chose to remove some of the transparent images of cash and Las Vegas to eliminate distraction while adding an image of a rope so that the consumer knew what the company was selling.

Thumbnail sketches are meant to have little detail, but help the artist come up with different composition ideas.
rough sketch
The rough sketch is a full size version of your favorite thumbnail sketches. This gives you a little better idea of where things will go and how they will look.
Composition
The composition is the rough draft of the poster. For this rough draft, I had included transparent graphics of Las Vegas and money, representative of the WSTR Finale. For the final composition, I removed these, as I didn’t want the poster to feel like an advertisement for the event rather than the rope company.

This is an example pitch deck created for Liberty University’s Strategic Communication: Strategic Social Media course. Throughout this course, we were given a real business to research and create a social media plan for. The final project was to complete a Pitch Deck and Presentation. The company that I mock-presented to was RepYourWater, a fishing and outdoor enthusiast apparel and goods company that donates a portion of proceeds to conservation efforts. This project gives prospective clients a good example of what they could expect upon beginning to work with me.
